Wedding photos...capturing YOU.

When selecting a wedding photographer, we know you have a million options from which to choose.  The photographer’s style, personality, fees and products offered all play a part in your decision.  There is no “right” or “wrong” way to go, it’s whatever is a fit for you.  Because of this, we feel it’s imperative to let you know exactly who we are and how we approach wedding photography.

We have a very photojournalistic style.  We believe in capturing the story of your day as it unfolds and then translating that into photos you can treasure for a lifetime.  But beyond that, our biggest objective is to get to know you.  Every photographer will (or should) ask you what your style is, what shots you want and how you ultimately plan to display your photographs (Wall portraits? Desk frames? Albums?).  But we feel that going beyond the basics is what we do best.  Capturing the emotion of the day is our favorite part of the job.  When you look back at photos of your wedding day, we want you to remember not just the events, the beautiful flowers or the exquisite cake…we want you to instantly feel transported back to that special day.  In other words, what we want to showcase in your photos is you.  Who you are, how you felt and everything that encompassed this wonderful day.

All good photographers in the field today can shoot technically competent photos.  Even Aunt Molly can probably line up the wedding party and shoot a nice photo with her point-and-shoot.  However, as nice as a posed shot of you and your grandmother can be, we feel you deserve more.  A nice shot of you and your grandmother tells us that she was there.  A shot of your grandmother pinning a treasured family memento into the hem of your gown tugs at your heart-strings while telling part of the day’s story and your family’s history.

Everyone has their own style and everyone’s wedding day is special to them.  But we take the time to get to know the details so that we make your photos personalized to you.  Everyone’s story is special, but two are the same.   Much like a fingerprint, your story and your style are unique to you…we feel they should be treated that way.
