Deirdre & Steve's French Quarter Festival Wedding

Deirdre & Steve came all the way from New York for their wedding that took place in the midst of New Orleans' famed French Quarter Festival.  Married in Artillery Park across the street from Jackson Square overlooking St. Louis Cathedral, the couple enjoyed roaring applause from a crowd that gathered to watch as they were pronounced husband and wife.  Following the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a champagne toast and accompanied Danielle Walters Photography through the French Quarter for a photo shoot.

We've photographed hundreds of weddings, but this was by far one of our favorites.  Deirdre & Steve are such a fun couple and were up for anything!  They were even invited onto the balcony of residents of the Pontalba Apartments (the oldest apartments in America) for a photo.  The couple enjoyed their first dance as a married couple to the sounds of Zazou City (a local band who happened to be playing French Quarter Festival on one of the Royal St. stages).  Other highlights included taking part in street performer's shows, enjoying a Lucky Dog, and tossing the bouquet/garter from the balcony of Tropical Isle (home of the Handgrenade).

We wish them a lifetime of happiness...thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!
